The beautiful Sundial Beach Resort & Spa located on tropical Sanibel Island, Florida, is seeking an experienced bartender to join our fabulous Food & Beverage team. 

Job Summary:

Provide guests with a memorable experience that encourages return visits. Provide friendly, attentive, and timely service creating an exceptional dining and entertainment experience for all our guests.

Essential Functions:

• Maintains a guest focus while performing duties.
• Welcome and greet guests.
• Complies with liquor pour standards as set by Food & Beverage Director
• Inform guests of any food and beverage specials
• Recommends specific beverage, appetizer, entrée, and desserts.
• Knowledgeable and able to answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant and resort functions and services.
• Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders in point-of-sale system.
• Prepare beverages for guests and servers in a timely and accurate manner.
• Always keep the bar in clean and neat condition.
• Perform side work during each shift as required by service station assignments.
• Complete opening and closing side work.
• Maintain clean and stocked service and dining areas.
• Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and beverage service.
• Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
• Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, and process through the POS system.
• Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers before they ask.
• Thank the guests for their visit and invite them to return.
• Attending all scheduled team member meetings and bringing suggestions for improvement.
• Notify the manager-on-duty any time a guest is not 100% satisfied with their experience.
• Have complete knowledge of all policies, standards, and procedures of the department.
• Be familiar with resort services, amenities, and outlets.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must have in depth knowledge of wine and cocktails
• Minimum 1-year previous bartending experience
• Attention to detail
• Safe Serve Certification
• Alcohol Compliance certified
