Assistant Front Desk Manager
The beautiful Sundial Beach Resort located on Sanibel Island, Florida is seeking a dynamic leader in the Assistant Front Desk Manager role. The Assistant Front Desk Manager is responsible for assisting with front desk operations to insure profitability, control costs and quality standards ensuring total guest satisfaction. Acts as the main contact for guests and other hotel departments. Acts as Manager on Duty and responds to emergency codes.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supports and manages all day-to-day operations, ensuring the quality, standards and meeting the expectations of the customers on a daily basis.
- Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work
- Serves as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors.
- Handles complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.
- Supervises staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met.
- Improves service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed.
- Front Desk Staff Scheduling and Payroll control.
- Informs and/or updates the executives, the peers and the subordinates on relevant information in a timely manner.
- Analyzes information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Monitors all reservations, including Wholesale and OTA reservation.
- Support and assist in PMS System updates and changes.
- Provides assistance to accounting with billing correction.
- Compiles with loss prevention policies and procedures.
- Assisting in revenue forecasting and financial planning for Front Office Operations.
- Daily maintenance of unit inventory status to achieve optimal levels of revenues while maintaining high levels of guest expectations.
Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
- 2-3 years experience at Hotel/Resort including previous supervisory experience.
- Proficient in Opera preferred
- Effective conflict management and decision-making is required
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
