Sundial Beach Resort & Spa, located on tropical Sanibel Island, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our team.  The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for: maintaining the entire resort facility; including physical building structure; all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and related equipment. This individual ensures the upkeep of guest areas and maintains an attractive resort.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the Guest Rooms Preventive Maintenance Program
• Utilize HotSos for all maintenance within resort
• Respond and perform duties, handle and double check guest requests in a courteous, efficient, safe manner
• Knowledge and ability to perform duties including but not limited to plastering, sanding, painting, electrical, plumbing and HVAC in main building and with condo units.
• Maintain proper records of the Rooms Preventive Maintenance Program
• Complete work order request forms on a daily and timely basis
• Maintain all mechanical areas in an orderly and clean condition
• Inspect all public areas daily for burnt light bulbs
• Makes recommendations to Owner Services to relay to specific unit owner regarding all shortcomings and needs within their specific condominium
• Implements available in-house services to Owners to increase efficiency as well as revenues such as HVAC coil cleaning, duct cleaning, etc.
• Assists the emergency response team for all facility issues in event of natural disaster
• Maintain effective communication with other departments and provide support when necessary
• Perform guest service and safety duties as needed in absence of or in addition to Safety Team
• Attend regular scheduled meetings
• Ensure that the company’s service levels are maintained at the highest level by using all internal and external resources necessary to provide exceptional guest service

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

• Minimum two years of experience in hotel and/or condo maintenance 
• Valid drivers’ license to operate a Resort golf cart
• Knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical systems. etc.
