Reservation Sales Agent

The Sundial Beach Resort & Spa has a full time opportunity available for a Reservation Sales Agent to join our dynamic team. Job Duties include analyzing all guest and travel requirements through telephone and emails and recommend suitable options for all guests to confirm reservations. Book all room reservations while ensuring  maximum room revenue including all details. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Answer all incoming calls promptly, in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner.
  • Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services and amenities, area dining and entertainment, and travel directions. Be knowledgeable about all features and benefits or properties represented.
  • Take and enter messages, providing specific details are relayed to appropriate areas to ensure optimal guest satisfaction.
  • Book room reservations while focusing on maximizing room revenue and average rate using guidelines provided by the Opera system. Remain current on all rate changes, promotions, etc., for Sundial and all supported properties. Up sell rooms when possible.
  • Respond to emails, voicemails within business day/hours.
  • Process Deposit according to procedure and send confirmations to our guests after making a reservation or upon request of the guest. Review all confirmations for correct information, spelling, etc.
  • Assist guests with reservations, transfers and changes to existing reservations.
  • Be knowledgeable with all services of properties to offer assistance with reservations for dining, Spa and resort activities, Upsell arrival amenities.
  • Adhere to all Compliance rules of Opera, maintain a working knowledge of Opera, Revinate and Call Center Application. 
  • Participate and maintain an environment of mutual respect and open communication.
  • Monitor daily sales activity, reservation follow up notes, and waitlist.
  • Carries out specified duties in the event of a fire alarm, bomb threat, guest or team member medical emergency, or system failure.
  • Provides outstanding guest service.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks at once.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to details, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to use a variety of computer applications including MS Office, Revinate, Windsurfer, Opera, and Verve.
  • Maintain current information on all properties represented, i.e., features and benefits, seasonal updates, etc.
  • Alert Management about the status of supplies to ensure that the front desk operates smoothly and efficiently.
  • Follow all SOPs as communicated by Management.
  • Have complete knowledge of all policies, standards and procedures of the department.        
  • Complete outbound calls as directed.

  • Good organization skills
  • Effective conflict management and decision-making is required
  • Must work well under pressure
  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Opera Cloud experience preferred
  • Previous experience as Reservation Sales Agent preferred
